Summer Spanish Programs

Now in our 20th season! Welcome to The Spanish Schoolhouse Summer program, where we offer classes every Saturday in July and August. Children will immerse themselves in the Spanish language, engaging in language learning, comprehension, conversation, reading, and writing, along with a variety of cultural activities. These activities include fun components like music, storytelling, games, projects, arts and crafts, making it a unique and enriching summer experience for children of all skill levels. No prior Spanish training is required!

Summer Program Overview

Language component: Students will learn vocabulary for daily interactions related to various themes being introduced.

Cultural activities: Students will become familiar with the characteristics and traditions of various Spanish speaking countries.

Music and dance: Everyone will be introduced to the various sounds of Latin music, instruments, and singers.

Crafts and storytelling: Daily crafts will help reinforce the language concepts being taught each day. Students will listen to traditional stories while having the opportunity to act out different scenes.

Typical Foods: Introducing typical foods will allow students to learn first-hand what children might typically eat in other countries. They will learn about recipes and ingredients..

Games: Every class, students will have the opportunity to experience games in Spanish.

Activities: Arts and crafts – storytelling – music and movement – traditional games – dress up days

Dates: 8-week Saturday classes running from July 6 to August 24, 2023

Time: 10 AM - 12 PM
